Job Description
Our client is a foreign-invested manufacturing company, now looking for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer ($1000, ID 21636):
- Documentation & Preparation:
- Review electrical schematics, wiring layouts, and IOF/job files prior to site deployment.
- Verify testing instruments (insulation tester, multimeter, clamp meter) and calibration schedules.
- Ensure full alignment with MDG15, ISO 9001, and AS/NZS standards.
- Installation Audit & System Inspection:
- Inspect wiring terminations, tagging, cable containment (trays/conduits), and HV/LV segregation.
- Check grounding integrity, terminal torque, and control panel IP sealing.
- Test control signal integration between electrical and hydraulic assemblies (valves, pressure/limit switches) and interlock logic.
- Testing & Commissioning Execution:
- Conduct insulation resistance, continuity, phase balance, and load/no-load testing.
- Perform 2.5 kV Hipot (LV) and 100 kV Hipot (HV) testing per Australian safety norms.
- Program electronic circuit breakers, configure Arc flash systems, and test E-stops and safety interlocks.
- Production Support & Compliance:
- Guide shopfloor technicians on IFC drawing interpretation and resolve assembly queries.
- Compile commissioning logs, check sheets, and FAT/SAT reports for audit and handover.
- Maintain OH&S compliance and Australian Electrical Safety standards (AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 61439).
Requirement
- Male. Under 40 years old.
- College/University degree in Industrial Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in industrial electrical systems, including commissioning, PTU/Power Transfer Unit, electrical installation inspection, system testing, and trial operation. High-voltage experience is preferred.
- English communication skills for working with foreign specialists and reporting.
- Basic understanding of ISO 9001.
